Afterschool Outdoors: Dwaas Kill Preserve, Clifton Park

This program that lets kids get out of school and enjoy the outdoors after the bell rings. We’ll meet in the parks and wildlife preserves around Schenectady, at 4:30 p.m. on Fridays, so there’s plenty of time to get from school or home to our green locations. We’ll be there for about an hour. Activities will usually involve hunting for different plant and animal species and exploring what makes up different environments. All ages are welcome. Adults should accompany their children.
June 19 will be at the dramatic Dwaas Kill Preserve, with parking right on Pierce Rd. in Clifton Park. It’s across from Mazzone Hospitality (743 Pierce Rd.), which has a bigger sign! We head down the path at 4:30 p.m.
