Fall walk: Phillipin Kill Preserve, Delmar

A short trail loop in the 20-acre Phillipin Kill Preserve traverses the woodland hills and winds along wetlands, where we might view nesting wood ducks or beavers. At this time of year we should expect spectacular fall folliage. Leader: Ken Crosby. Directions: From Rt. 85 at the west end of the village of Slingerlands, take Fisher Blvd. south.until you reach “the Mansions” housing complex on the right. Enter Mansion Blvd. and take the first left, following the curve to the far corner; the last half of this stretch is reserved for, and marked for, use by preserve visitors.
