Lock 4, Canal Park Walk

Located on the Champlain Canal of the Hudson River, the park offers both mixed-forest and alluvial habitats with such interesting plants as green dragon and deerberry and many other woodland, riparian, and floodplain plants..
The trails are well-maintained and relatively easy. Jackie Donnelly, leader. Directions: If coming from the west, cross the Hudson River on the bridge in the middle of the Stillwater village, and watch for the entrance to Canal Park/Lock 4 on the right, immediately after crossing the river; a large parking area is adjacent to the lock. The number of participants will be limited to 10 people, and we will adhere to other COVID recommendations of
