MHLC Event: Earth Day Workday at Bozen Kill Preserve

Mohawk Hudson Land Conservancy will kick off its season of volunteer workdays with a big project at Bozen Kill Preserve on Earth Day.

“We’ll be working on wetland and riparian habitat improvements surrounding the beaver meadows near the Bond Rd. entrance. The plan includes wetland tree and shrub plantings; some of which have been ordered from the Saratoga Nursery, and fingers crossed that they’ll be ready in time. If they’re not, volunteer Laurie Lyons-Swift is helping by propagating some locally collected cuttings. In addition to planting as much as we can, we’ll focus on invasive vegetation removal and other general improvements. Either way, it’ll be a great day to reawaken those trail work muscles, breathe the spring air and connect with some great folks!”
