Weekend Winter Outing: Rotterdam Preserve

Josh Bennett will lead a hike of the newly-conceived Rotterdam Preserve trails. Park along the North side of Mabie Lane in Rotterdam Junction. Do not block the gated SI driveway.

The Preserve is a work in progress, with trail expansion (and trail work volunteer opportunities) in the coming year. We will hike the main trail to the northern end, with some exploration of the spur trails with views of the lake. At the northern end, we will switch to the Mohawk-Hudson bike path for the trek back to the start. 2-3 miles total, with mostly flat terrain. There may be some ice in spots.
