Andy Kulmatiski will lead a snowshoe hike in a beautiful preserve with eskers, a mature hemlock forest and frozen creeks. The preserve is nestled in the foothills of the Adirondack Park and has miles of stone walls and multiple cellar holes to discover. Depending on the energy of the group the hike will be either 1.5 or 3 miles. I walked there today and conditions were excellent for snowshoes. The area has a few inches of snow over the crust. It looks like these conditions will extend into Saturday but bring your microspikes just in case.
