Margie Litwin will lead this week’s trip at Brookhaven Winter Park. The park has 20k of groomed ski trails and recent snow. Hopefully it will be less cold than the recent ECOS morning there. The park also has separate snowshoe trails. The chosen ski trails will be mildly rolling with the group staying together. More difficult terrain may be explored on your own after the organized event. At this point, this will be a ski outing ONLY. However, if someone is willing to lead any snowshoers around, please let Margie know. Bare booting is not an option as it would degrade the trails.
By the way, there is a suggested optional donation for trail maintenance and equipment of $5. For anyone using Facebook, check out Brookhaven Winter Park.
We will meet in the large parking lot to the right side of the restaurant at 9:30.
Note – the restaurant is closed Tuesdays, so if you want lunch, you need to bring one with you. Porta-potties available.
Trail map may be viewed at https://greenfieldny.org/
To sign up contact Margie at 518-938-0600 or [email protected], and let her know that you are skiing. If you want to snowshoe, let her know, and if we have a snowshoe leader volunteer, we will let you know.
Tuesday outings have a 9:30 a.m. start time. To be included on our ski/snowshoe email list contact Roy and Sue at [email protected].
