Martha (Martie) Teumim, a founding member of the Capital Region New York Chapter of Wild Ones, a national organization dedicated to educating people about native plants and natural landscapes, will discuss the benefits of using native plants.
Teumim has been an Albany County Master Gardener off and on since 1982. During the past several years she has been part of a Cornell University-based team which studied the topic of climate change and created educational products on the subject.
Teumim is a retired high school English teacher and software trainer, who has two grown daughters and two grandchildren. She lives in Glenmont with her husband and two cats.
