Learn to use iNaturalist

Join botanist and iNaturalist ambassador Steve Young to learn the ins and outs of the iNaturalist field app. The free app helps users identify the plants and animals around them while generating data for science and conservation. During the course, you will learn to take good photos, identify species, enter observations, and communicate your finds with others. We will be walking the trails at the Woodlawn Preserve in Schenectady to make observations and add them to the iNaturalist community, with both iPhone and Android. Beforehand, we encourage you to register a username on iNaturalist, which is free to do.
