Sarah Walsh, Conservation Director of the Mohawk Hudson Land Conservancy, will be our speaker on Thursday.
Topic: Connecting Wild Lands for Wildlife Movement
MHLC has recently received a grant from DEC’s Mohawk Watershed Grant Program for work in Schenectady County. Sarah will talk about the importance of conserving and connecting wild lands for resilience in the face of climate change and the work that the grant will support. MHLC, with the Nature Conservancy, will be assessing paths for wildlife movement in the County. Completing culvert assessments in identified pinch points for wildlife movement in Glenville, especially the Glenville Hills, is a focus of the grant.
