Weekday Winter Outing: Anchor Diamond Park

Roy Keats will be leading this week’s walk at the ever-popular Anchor Diamond Park just west of the intersection of Route 50 and Middleline Road in Ballston Spa.  It’s the big parking lot after turning onto Middleline Road going North from Route 50 coming out of Burnt Hills. We’ll walk 2.5 to 3 miles of woodsy trails. The usual porcupines haven’t been spotted yet, but maybe we will find them, as we wander the trails which also contain the ruins of the old Hawkwood estate and some pretty streamside scenery.  The trails could be hard packed snow with the possibility of icy hardback in spots so Yaktrax are recommended for this walk.  Please let Roy know if you’ll be coming along by using [email protected] or 518-466-8544.
