ECOS Spring Walks

MAY 21   High Point Trail at Thacher Park:  By May the hepatica and bloodroot should be gone, but there are many spring ephemerals still in bloom. Though not as well known, these too are delightful.  We’ll learn about their myths and legends as well as the way people have used these plants in the past.  The High Point Trail is a flat loop trail, an easy stroll through the woods with naturalist Sigrin Newell.

            Directions: From Altamont, drive up the escarpment on Rt. 156 then turn left onto Old Stage Rd. The trailhead will be on the left after a couple of miles.
